Eric leads a global group of professionals who support the specialised funding needs of the NAB Group and its clients. This includes all forms of syndicated loans, bond and securitisation origination; specialists in all types of infrastructure, clean energy, project finance and specialist leasing; creation and distribution of investor product suitable for domestic and offshore clients.

Eric also holds responsibility for managing the balance sheet for Corporate & Institutional Bank via the credit and execution functions.

Eric joined National Australia Bank in 2002 in the Capital Management team, going on to lead the Group Capital Management and Funding teams, to support the bank’s growth.

In 2007, Eric was named Group Treasurer, leading a team responsible for capital, funding, liquidity and risk management.

In 2015, Eric was appointed as Chief Risk Officer first for Business Bank, and then in 2016 for the Corporate & Institutional Bank.

Prior to joining NAB, Eric worked for RBS Corporate Finance in Edinburgh and with Close Brothers in London. Eric started his career as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen in the UK.

Eric is a board member of the UN Environment Finance Initiative and the Australian Advisory Board on Impact Investing.
