Baden provides insights on global commodity markets with a focus on adding value to clients’ trading strategies through the delivery of research and strategic advice. His research is utilised by commodity trading houses, investors, central banks and the corporate sector. Baden joined National Australia Bank in 2021 from Goldman Sachs where he had responsibility as the Lead Analyst for coverage of the ASX-listed Australian & New Zealand Energy & Utilities sectors since 2017. Baden has ~20yrs experience and has held various roles in Research and Corporate Finance including with CLSA Australia, Merrill Lynch, and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. Baden qualified with a Bachelor of Mining Engineering and Master of Commerce (Finance & Accounting) in 2002 from the University of New South Wales.
