Two of NAB Private Wealth’s best and brightest have been awarded international accolades at the Global Private Banking Innovation Awards 2024 ceremony in London overnight.

Private Client Executive Natalie Irvine was awarded Female Private Banker of the Year for the second consecutive year. Natalie’s inaugural win in 2023 was the first time an Australian private banker had taken out the award, an honour that remains hers.

The award for Outstanding Contribution by a Chief Investment Officer, Australia and New Zealand went to JBWere CIO, Sally Auld.

“Our clients are people who want to make a positive difference for their families, business, and communities, and help build a better future. And we’re the same – we are proud to have talented and committed people who want to make a difference, said Michael Saadie, Executive General Manager, NAB Private Wealth.

Natalie and Sally personify what we are building at NAB Private Wealth. They live and breathe understanding the needs of their clients and apply that focus to their roles. Natalie is an outstanding banker, and Sally is an exceptional talent whose expertise and insights have supported our clients’ decision making since she joined JBWere in 2020,” said Michael Saadie.

“These accolades, together with other international awards NAB Private Wealth has received in recent years recognise that our client offer is without comparison in Australia,” he said.

Executive JBWere Australia, Maria Lykouras, said it was significant to see NAB’s women leaders being awarded for excelling in their fields: “Sally’s economic and investment insights are invaluable to our business and clients, while it is the expertise of bankers like Natalie that allow us to embark on multi-generational journeys because of the depth and trust of the relationships formed,” she said.

In receiving her award Natalie acknowledged such awards were a team effort: “I’m thrilled to have won the Global Female Banker Award for the second consecutive time. While this award bears my name, it belongs to the entire NAB Private Wealth team”.

“This award serves as a platform for discussing the needs of women in private banking. Since last year’s win, I’ve noticed a growing desire among women to engage more actively with their finances, tailored to their preferences,” said Natalie.

For Sally, the award represents recognition for staying focused on clients’ needs. “The global economy and the investment options available is large and diverse. You need to constantly be aware of the research you undertake and how that will benefit clients, distilling what is happening in markets to support clients in meeting their goals.

“We have an exceptional team at JBWere that allows us to stay on point and deliver what clients need across generations,” said Sally.
