• China’s latest GDP was released on Friday and showed a sharp contraction in Q1
• Australia is likely to experience a sharp slowdown in Q2, although we are doing better than some other OECD economies and our virus growth rate is now very low. The latter point is very encouraging.
• Medium to long term there will be major shifts as a result of the virus. One of these is likely to be a re-onshoring of domestic medical supplies manufacturing.
